Welcome to Florida’s Air Quality System (FLAQS) web site. The following mapping and reporting applications are available to show ozone and continuously monitored particle pollution levels recorded by the state’s ambient air monitoring network. Florida's Air Quality System comprises of 19 different state, local and private air programs that provide ambient data to the system. They operate the state's ambient air monitoring network routinely recording data 24 hours per day. Ambient air is the air we breathe outside, near ground-level.

As air quality changes, people respond in different ways. This site provides air quality information throughout the day to allow you to make better informed decisions for daily activities. High concentrations of ozone or particle pollution, like other pollutants, may cause damage to human health.

It is important to note that the air quality data less than three months old viewed on this website generally have not been verified and checked for quality assurance in accordance with federal requirements.

Deepwater Horizon Response Data

View the results from air pollution monitors specifically located along the northern Gulf of Mexico in response to the oil spill. Recent measurements of the volatile organic compounds that may be associated with the spill from both EPA and DEP monitoring sites are posted.

Spatial Air Quality System View customized data and the AQI (Air Quality Index) on a state of Florida map. The AQI is based on ozone and continuously monitored fine particle data. This spatial browsing tool makes use of cookies as a method of remembering the preferences selected on some of the map tools.
