National Marina Day 2009, Celebrating America’s Gateway
to Boating, is being celebrated at marinas throughout the
state.
This National Day of Recognition is dedicated to the education of the boating public, civic leaders,
and politicians. The day emphasizes the importance of the marine industry as a link to water access
through local marinas, as well as their stewardship of the environment.

harbor hourly on their pirate ship, with cannon fire ,black
powder, sword fights and lovely wenches singing shanty

a raffle benefiting the Guana Research Reserve. An event
proclamation from mayor and county commissioners will be
presented.

Marina Open House, new and used boats on display, complimentary boat rides
aboard the 45ft Silver King Catamaran. The local chapter of the Sea Scouts will
be conducting a clean-up around the mangroves, an effort to bring children to
our Marina to learn more about the value of our waterways and the marine
industry. U.S Customs will have a boat on site and an officer to answer any
questions. Tow/Boat U.S. will have a boat along with one of their captains. Fuel
dock will be offering an extra .10 cents per gallon for National Marina Day.
