Florida <i>Green Lodging</i> The Florida Green Lodging Program was established in 2004 by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) with the intent of recognizing and rewarding environmentally conscientious lodging facilities in the state. Through this rapidly growing program DEP encourages the lodging industry to conserve and protect Florida’s natural resources. The Florida Green Lodging Program is unique in that it covers an all-inclusive list of environmental initiatives that are specific to the Florida environment. Green Lodging Guest Survey

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection invites citizens to give feedback on their stay at Green Lodging properties throughout the state. The new survey allows guests to select a specific property and give feedback on the property's recycling options, linen and towel reuse program and overall environmental commitment. Citizens, state employees and visitors are encouraged to take the survey after a stay at any Green Lodging Property.
