The Cross Florida Greenway Land Bridge allows hikers, cyclists,
equestrians, and wildlife to safely cross Interstate 75 where it bisects
the Greenway. It provides a much needed connection between the east and
west sections of the Cross Florida Greenway.
Where does the Land Bridge cross Interstate 75?
It crosses Interstate 75 just south of Ocala, between Exit 67 (CR
484) and Exit 68 (SR 200).

Quick Facts
- The Land Bridge is 52.5’ wide and 200’ long with an additional
400’ of ramps on each end.
- Irrigated, 4.5’ deep planters along both sides of the structure
are landscaped with saw palmetto, chickasaw plum, rusty lyonia, and
yellow hawthorn.
- A viewing area at midpoint provides the curious with a safe place
to watch interstate traffic below.
- V-shaped supports are used in the median.
- U-beams designed in Texas have been used for the first time in
Florida to support the extra weight of the fieldstone walls, tons of
topsoil, shrubs, and trees.
- Workers used a 300-ton crane to install eight, 100’ long, 87-ton
concrete support beams.
- Department of Transportation Enhancement Program funding provided
the means to create the $3.1 million project.
