The Pithlachascotee River Canoe Trail is officially designated as part of Florida’s Statewide System of Greenways and Trails. This short trail is recommended for paddlers with some experience. The tight curves in the narrow upper section require some technical paddling skill. On the lower section, the trail widens and straightens. The trip can be extended further north to Nick’s Park at the US 19 bridge (north west of bridge).
