Withlacoochee State Trail
The Withlacoochee State Trail consists of a 46
mile stretch of former rail bed that has been converted into a paved
multi-use recreational trail suitable for hiking, biking, and horse riding enthusiasts. The Withlacoochee
State Trail starts just north of S.R. 50, a mile east of I-75 and continues through the Withlacoochee
State Forest, runs close to the Withlacoochee River, past the Silver Lake Campground, then continues
north through the Floral City, Inverness, Citrus Springs, and ends at Gulf Junction just south of
Dunnellon.
Hours of Operation
The trail is open from sunrise to sunset, every day of the year.
Driving Directions
Withlacoochee State Trail has trail heads located on Croom Rital Road, off S.R. 50, a mile east of
I-75 in Ridge Manor (New Milepost 301 - Old Exit 61). Isatachatta Community Center is located off
CR 39 in Isatachatta. Desoto Trail Kiosk is located off US 41 in Inverness. Inverness Depot South is
located off North Apapka Ave in inverness. Citrus Springs Trail Head is located off US 41 in Citrus
Springs.
Fees
There is no fee to use the Withlacoochee State Trail.
