The Bureau of Laboratories is proposing changes to the Department’s Quality Assurance (QA) Program for water, waste and resource management programs. These changes will affect how DEP implements QA oversight for laboratories and field sampling operations. More detailed information is available by contacting Silky Labie.

Notice of Proposed Rule
A notice of proposed rulemaking was published on June 27, 2008 in the Florida Administrative Weekly. The text of the rule and all documents that were presented at the 2007 public workshops are available for review. A hearing if requested, will be held at on July 23, 2008 at 3:00 pm in the laboratory complex conference room (A 204) which is adjacent to the Bob Martinez Center at 2600 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, FL. The public is encouraged to call the week of July 21 to learn if a hearing was requested.

This is the final stage of rulemaking. We anticipate that the final rule package will be submitted to the Department of State in August, 2008.
