When Your Application Is Received

Your application will be reviewed for eligibility and a preliminary background screening will be conducted.  An applicant interview will be scheduled, during which a written evaluation and the physical abilities test may be administered.

Preferred candidates will then be given medical and vision exams and an 8-panel drug screen.  A thorough background investigation will be conducted and fingerprints will be obtained.

Based on the overall results of the examinations and background investigation, the most qualified applicants are selected for employment.

Applications are continually accepted by the Division of Law Enforcement. If your application is accepted after the cut-off date for a particular assessment, your application will be kept on file and will be processed for the next available assessment.
