Our state-recognized Training Center provides instruction in both traditional classroom settings and via distance training courses to ensure continued law enforcement education.
The Division of Law Enforcement's Training Center provides training courses for DEP's 141 officers. The Training Center works closely with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's (FDLE) Division of Law Enforcement Professionalism, the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission and other Florida law enforcement training centers to provide consistent and current law enforcement information and training to DEP law enforcement officers.
The Training Center provides more than 50 training courses each year and more than 300 online courses. In 2007, the Training Center issued nearly 1,000 training certificates.

Environmental Crimes Awareness Textbook [PDF - 2.95MB] The textbook covers the basics of Florida environmental programs and lists state and federal environmental criminal statutes that apply. Not available in print.
