SUMMARY

After the landfall of Hurricane Katrina in South Florida, close to 1,221,500 customers across 4 counties are affected by power outages.

Power outages are affecting approximately 1,217,000 FPL customers and 4,500 cooperative customers.

COUNTY BY COUNTY BREAKDOWN

BROWARD COUNTY

  • 56% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 489,000 of 880,207 FPL customers without power.

DADE COUNTY

  • 72% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 705,000 of 968,480 FPL customers without power.

MONROE COUNTY 7% of total customers without power.

  • Approximately 4,500 of 30,952 cooperative customers without power.

PALM BEACH COUNTY

  • 3% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 23,000 of 675,759 FPL customers without power.
