HURRICANE KATRINA POWER BRIEFING SHEET

After the landfalls of Hurricane Katrina in South Florida and Louisiana, close to 194,856 customers across ten counties are affected by power outages.
Power outages are affecting approximately 136,300 FPL customers, 57,491 Gulf Power customers and 1,065 cooperative customers.
BAY COUNTY
- Power restored to all customers.
BROWARD COUNTY
- 3% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 27,300 of 880,207 FPL customers without power.
DADE COUNTY
- 11% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 109,000 of 968,480 FPL customers without power.
- Power restored to all municipal customers.
ESCAMBIA COUNTY
- 32% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 44,005 of 135,516 Gulf Power customers without power.
- Approximately 1,000 cooperative customers without power
HOLMES COUNTY
- Power restored to all customers.
MONROE COUNTY
- Power restored to all customers.
OKALOOSA COUNTY
- 5% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 4,658 of 82,677 Gulf Power customers without power.
- Power restored to cooperative customers.
SANTA ROSA COUNTY
- 14% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 8,828 of 56,701 Gulf Power customers without power.
- Approximately 65 cooperative customers without power.
