STATEWIDE RESPONSE BRIEFING SHEET

***The information below represents the best available information at the time of this release. Floridians are encouraged to contact their local authorities for additional information as it becomes available.***

County Evacuations

The following evacuations still remain in effect:

  • Monroe: Mandatory evacuation for non-residents. Voluntary evacuations for all Florida Keys residents. Mandatory evacuation for residents has been delayed and is slated to begin Saturday at noon.
  • Collier: Mandatory evacuation for residents beginning at noon today for residents west of US 41 and South of US 41.
  • Lee: Voluntary evacuations for non-residents and at-risk populations.
  • Okeechobee: Voluntary evacuation for non-residents and residents in mobile homes.

For additional information pertaining to county evacuations, curfews and re-entry, please contact the local county emergency operations center.

Shelters

  • General Shelters:
    • Miami-Dade: 1 Shelter, Population 104
      • Florida International University: 104
  • Special Needs Shelters:
    • No residents in Special Needs Shelters at this time

Law Enforcement and Military

  • Support Florida National Guard: 268. Additional troops preparing for deployment as needed.

Transportation

Tolls Suspended

  • Eastbound Alligator Alley
  • Northbound Homestead Extension (Effective at 2:00 pm today)
