Section works to foster responsible stewardship of Florida's ground and surface
waters.
Total
Maximum Daily Loading Program
Access Basin Rotation plans, maps, meetings, basin status and assessment
reports, draft listing of impaired waters, verified lists, delisting lists
and public meeting announcements.
Northwest
District Water Quality Outlook
Partnering with the Escambia
County Health Department, the University of West Florida, the Okaloosa County
Environmental Council, citizen volunteers and area environmental
groups, the Northwest District publishes water quality reports
encompassing four counties and a variety of watersheds.
Florida Wetland
Restoration Information Center
The Florida Wetland Restoration Information Center includes a library, a
section on wetland policy and programs, guidance on restoration, funding
opportunities and the Florida Ecological Restoration Inventory, an inventory
of current and proposed restoration projects.

Biology Laboratory
Monitoring for
biological indicators of water quality reveal the health of habitats through Eco-summary Reports, Five-year Toxicity
Surveys and Stream Condition Indexes.

Chemistry Laboratory
Water quality
monitoring and data management is conducted for watershed assessment
supporting grant projects, wastewater programs, and volunteer water quality monitoring
throughout the Northwest District.
