Announcement of Proposed Rule Change for the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP)
The Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program proposes amendment of the Administrative Rule, Chapter 62D-5, F.A.C., including Rules 62D-5.053 through 62D-5.059, F.A.C., to revise and update definitions, scoring criteria, grant administrative details, and to clarify any ambiguities due to evolving program changes.

LWCF 2013-2014 Application submission cycle will be held from Monday, February 17, 2014 through Friday, February 28, 2014. All application must be postmarked no later than February 28, 2014. Copies of the grant application can be found below:

The 2014-2015 FRDAP Application Submission Cycle was held from September 16, 2013 through Monday 30, 2013. A copy of the approved FRDAP 2014-2015 Priority List is provided below. This list will now be submitted to the 2014 Florida Legislature for funding consideration.

The Grants Section of the Office of Financial Management administers grants to local governments through the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) and the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). These are competitive, reimbursement grant programs which provide financial assistance for acquisition or development of land for public outdoor recreation. Eligible participants include all county governments, municipalities in Florida and other legally constituted local governmental entities, with the responsibility for providing outdoor recreational sites and facilities for the general public. Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program
is a state competitive grant program that provides financial assistance to local governments to develop and/or acquire land for public outdoor recreational purposes the maximum grant request is $200,000.
The Governor has signed the 2013-2014 budget that gives $642,000.00 for the FRDAP grants. Proviso language determined that the money was to fund all of the Small Development category applications…those $50,000.00 or less. There are 13 of those and they maybe viewed on this Priority List
Land and Water Conservation Fund
is a federal competitive program which provides grants for acquisition or development of land for public outdoor recreation use. The matching ratio is one applicant dollar to one federal dollar for all grant awards (50% / 50%). The maximum grant request is $200,000.
