The health of Florida’s ecosystems depends on dynamic natural processes associated with fire, hydrology, and a delicate ecological balance between native species. Our resource management goal is to restore and maintain the original landscapes of Florida State Parks by reestablishing these processes.

Cultural Resources

Cultural resource management in state parks involves identifying, maintaining, protecting, preserving, and interpreting evidence of those who lived in Florida before us.

National Park Service Heritage Preservation Services

It includes all standards and guidelines for treatment of historic properties, as well as the Tech Notes and Preservation Briefs.

Restoration of Cultural and Historic Resources
