The Mission of the Project Management Office (PMO) is increase the Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) effectiveness and the value of the services it provides by driving continuous and measurable improvement through the deployment of best practices and lessons learned in information technology (IT) projects executed by the DEP.


This site contains materials related to Project Management practices at DEP, including guides, templates and samples (Toolkit), and copies of actual project documents (Archives) from completed projects.

Brief Description

Business Case for Proposed IT Projects 2/08 We have finalized and published the DEP Business Case template for proposed IT projects. A business case may be required for any proposed project of significant size, cost or risk, or that may result in sizeable business or technical impacts to DEP. The business case documents are available in the Project Management Toolkit under Project Initiation
