The Division of Resource Assessment and Management provides scientific and technical support services to other department districts and divisions, and federal, state and local agencies. The Division includes the Director's Office, the Florida Geological Survey, the Bureau of Laboratories, the Mercury Program, and the Data Administration Work Group and the DEP Project Management Office.

The Mission of the Division of Resource Assessment and Management (DRAM) is to ensure maximum environmental protection through applied research and the effective integration and utilization of agency data. In order to accomplish this mission, we:

  • Support quality management of information and research as a department resource;
  • Recognize the importance of information which is accessible, retrievable, and useable (reliable and valid); and,
  • Seek to improve quality assurance while reducing the process burden on the department and the regulated community.
