The LIFE – Savannas Preserve State Park program is a partnership between the Department of Environmental
Protection and the St. Lucie School District. The program involves seventh grade students from
Southport Middle School
and field labs conducted at Savannas Preserve State Park. The field labs will address priority
topics that have been identified by the participating teachers and will use the unique natural
resources and ecosystems available in the park as examples to illustrate important concepts and
principles in Life and Environmental Science. The LIFE – Savannas Preserve State Park program is
supported in part from a grant from The Battelle Foundation. |
