Teacher Professional Development: LIFE Learning Community Quick Links

The Office of Environmental Education is a proud provider of high quality teacher professional development opportunities in the field of environmental education and supports other reputable programs that are good models for science education. The OEE strives to provide teachers with relevant opportunities and serve as a source of information on professional development opportunities with in the state.

Research Experiences for Teachers

The SEMESTER@DEP program provides a unique opportunity for teachers to participate in ongoing research or monitoring programs alongside DEP staff. Teachers work as temporary DEP employees from four to six weeks during the summer. This program targets new science teachers, minority science teachers, and science teachers from underserved or low performing schools.
