DEP To Present Substantial Grant To
Tallahassee Trail Riders


-- Apalachicola National Forest trails better maintained --

TALLAHASSEE -- Suzanne Walker, assistant director of the Department of Environmental Protection’s Office of Greenways & Trails, will make a special presentation to Tallahassee Trail Riders President Jack Martin.

The Tallahassee Trail Riders will also be holding their 30th Annual Capital City Enduro. The 65-mile race is sanctioned by the Florida Trail Riders, American Motorcyclist Association, and the Southeastern Trail Riders and Enduro Association.

The presentation will take place:

8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Sunday, October 7, 2001
Sliver Lake Day Use Area
Silver Lake Road (off Highway 20 west)
Tallahassee, Florida

The race will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Silver Lake Day Use Area off Highway 20. Participants must be registered and have paid their $35.00 entrance fee prior to 9:00 a.m.

There is a $3.00 entrance fee for each vehicle. For more information, contact Jack Martin at (850) 575-8181, extension 224.
