Free On-Line Noticing Service Available
-- Easy access to
DEP official notices now provided--
TALLAHASSEE - The Department of Environmental Protection today announced the implementation of a new on-line subscription service for DEP’s Official Internet Noticing website. Members of the public will now be able to subscribe to an electronic noticing service that will automatically send an e-mail when an official DEP notice has been published in areas of interest designated in their subscription registration. This e-mail will include a link to the actual notices. The subscription is free and the user may visit the Official Internet Noticing site at any time.
The Legislature approved the concept of this program in 2001, but DEP’s subscription service exceeds the requirements of the legislation.
"This new subscription option is quick, easy, and will save the subscriber valuable time," said Lisa Edgar, DEP Deputy Secretary for Planning and Management. “Once a person has subscribed, it will no longer be necessary to remember to check the site each week. Subscribers will automatically receive notices according to the personal profile they create."
The DEP new on-line subscription service allows a person to select one or more particular rule chapter numbers, particular notice types, or all of each. The program area and notice type sections are:
