Regarding Sine Die Legislative Special Session 2004

"Working together in a refreshing spirit of partnership, the members of the Legislature have provided much needed help to Floridians impacted by this year's hurricanes, including relief from property taxes and multiple insurance deductibles. Additionally, they've made it possible to begin renourishment of beaches to mitigate the long-term environmental impact of the storms. Equally important, lawmakers have taken a critical step forward to create the quality voluntary universal pre-kindergarten program for Florida four-year-olds.

"I applaud President Lee and Speaker Bense, as well as members of both chambers, for their fine work during this session. Their success bodes well for a productive regular session next year."
