State Building Closures in Monroe County

--Threat of Tropical Storm Fay closes facilities in Monroe Counties--

TALLAHASSEE – The approach of Tropical Storm Fay has necessitated the closure of the following Department of Management Services managed facilities for Monday, August 18, 2008: 

Monroe County:

  • Monroe County Regional Service Center
    2796 Overseas Highway Suite 127
    Marathon, FL 

Agencies Impacted:

  • Department of Community Affairs
  • Department of Environmental Protection
  • Department of Children and Families
  • Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
  • Department of Juvenile Justice

The Department of Management Services closes managed facilities in affected counties during disaster/emergency situations based on local government's decision to close offices, mandatory evacuation notice for the area or declaration of a local state of emergency. Office closures for non-DMS managed facilities are at the discretion of the agency head in the affected areas.
