Public Record Requests Contact

Because of space constraints, most of our files are now located in out of office storage locations.  Files are catalogued and boxed to allow quick retrieval by our clerical staff.  Since this effort started four years ago, we have modified our process to reduce potential for misfiled documents and improve security for our public records.  The storage areas are limited access availability open to section designated clericals only.  If the documents are stored locally, retrieval generally can occur the same day.  Please allow two days retrieval time for documents stored at our Punta Gorda storage facility.  If it is time sensitive we will do our best to retrieve it immediately.

If you would like a file to made available for your review, please contact a clerical from the appropriate program (listed on the right.)  If you would like files from multiple programs, please contact Denise Scarpuzzi.  If you have any questions please contact Elijah Fleishauer.

In accordance with the provisions of Florida Statute Chapter 119.07(4),  the cost of copying records is 15 cents per one-sided copy for duplicated copies of not more than 14 inches by 8½ inches; 20 cents for each two-sided copy.  If using our copier on site yourself, you will be limited to copying 45 sheets.  If you need more copies than this, we have staff who can assist you, or you are welcome to contract an offsite copy company to come do the copying for you.  When making your own copies in our office payment shall be cash only.  If our staff is making copies for you and mailing them to you, payment shall be by check only and will include postage fees and staff time.  When mailing copies, payment by check must be received before the copies are mailed out.
