The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, in cooperation with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and university and agricultural professional associations, has developed Best Management Practices for various agricultural operations and golf courses.

Proper pesticide use, storage and disposal practices for worker and environmental protection are described in these documents. County agricultural agents are also valuable sources of information on proper pesticide management and disposal.
