In 1997 the Florida Legislature created Section 403.7095(9), F.S., which requires the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to make grant funds available to counties on a competitive basis for innovative programs related to recycling. The purpose of this web site is to help guide the Counties, their consultants and other interested parties through this Grant process for the 1999-2000 state fiscal year.

• March 20, 2000 Innovative Recycling Grants Review Committee Final Ranking and Grantee Selections and Grantee Checklist
• February 4, 2000: Full Proposal Submittals Due
  November 30, 1999 Ranking of pre-proposals reflecting those applicants selected to submit full Innovative Recycling Project Proposals.
• November 30, 1999 Request for full proposals guidelines. This document provides guidance on submission of Selected Full Proposals and the timeline for this process.
• August 16, 1999 Innovative Recycling Grants Update Memorandum from Ron Henricks. This memo discusses the 1999-2000 Innovative Recycling Grants process, proposed timeline/review process, proposed targeted materials, proposed criteria and scoring, and future mailings and information flow.
• September 10, 1999 Request For Pre-Proposals

TIMELINE-REVIEW PROCESS

• 03/20/00
  DEP notifies applicants of selected Grantees.
• 03/30/00
  Grantees submit project Scope of Services and Environmental Certification Form.
• 04/24/00
  Grant agreement sent to counties for signature to put agreement into effect.
• 06/15/00
  Grantees return signed agreements to the DEP putting projects into effect.

Project Reporting Periods:

• 1st work period ends 08/29/00 with report and invoice due 09/14/00.
• 2nd work period ends 12/05/00 with report and invoice due 12/19/00.
• 3rd work period ends 03/13/01 with report and invoice due 03/27/01.
• 4th work period ends 05/22/01 with FINAL report and invoice due 06/05/01.
