Proposed Rule Development for the Department’s Rules for Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Systems

The Bureau of Petroleum Storage Systems has completed its' review of the comments submitted from the Public Rule Workshop on January 23-24, 2006, and from subsequent meetings with concerned parties and industries in Tallahassee. All recommendations were given individual consideration. The Division of Waste Management has scheduled October 18, 2007, as the day for final public workshops on the Tank Rules to provide an opportunity for interested parties to review these proposed changes before they are presented to the Environmental Regulation Commission for approval. The format is standard for Department rules. Underlined words are proposed additions, strike-throughs are words that are proposed deletions. The color coding indicates changes made in response to verbal and written comments received after the January 2006 public workshops. We encourage you to attend the workshop if you would like to comment or propose changes to the rules. The Department will post the dates for when the rule will be presented to the Environmental Regulation Commission as soon as possible after we are notified of the schedule.
