Proposed Rule Development for the Ground Water Rule, Chapters 62-520, F.A.C.

 

The Department has begun the rulemaking process to revise Florida’s ground water rule, Chapter 62-520, F.A.C. 

This rule was last amended on July 12, 2009, when the remaining rules in former Chapter 62-522, F.A.C., were incorporated into Chapter 62-520, F.A.C.  Administrative changes, minor clarifications and updates were made at this time.

The current rulemaking process will focus on more substantial, standard-setting changes.  At present, the Department is working on a preliminary draft rule.  It is anticipated that there will be multiple public workshops before the draft is finalized.

This webpage will provide updates on the Department’s rulemaking efforts. All stakeholders and interested parties are encouraged to participate in the Department’s rulemaking efforts. Please check this website periodically for updates.
