Landscape Irrigation

The 2004 Florida Legislature directed Florida’s water management districts to work with interested parties to develop landscape irrigation and Florida-Friendly design standards for new construction (section 373.228, F.S.). Local governments are to use the standards and guidelines when developing landscape irrigation and Florida-Friendly ordinances.

The Committee on Landscape Irrigation and Florida-Friendly Design Standards convened and developed the standards. They are published in a booklet called Landscape Irrigation and Florida Friendly Design Standards (December 2006).
