Environmental Resource Permitting Program
Training and Public Education
The Program Development and
Support Section is responsible for providing training on the environmental resource permit
program, the wetland resource permit program and the sovereign submerged lands proprietary
program. In addition to training staff of the Department and of other agencies, this
section also teaches the public about these programs and about wetlands and aquatic
resources in general.
TRAINING EVENTS:
Training for agency staff is presented in the form of printed materials, periodic
conference calls and meetings, small seminars around the state, and an annual conference.
In addition to these traditional modes of education, we have recently started to develop
our own training videos.
